September, 2015 South African New Vehicle Sales Statistics

In amplification of the new vehicle sales statistics for the month of September, 2015 – released today for public consumption on the website of the Department of Trade & Industry – the Association commented that current conditions in the automotive industry reflected a further weakening in domestic sales contrasted by record vehicle exports.

The goal of the APDP is to stimulate growth in the automotive industry in order to increase localisation and employment. The National Government has indicated that they have set a goal of producing 1.2 Million vehicles by 2020, and the APDP should provide the framework within which to accomplish this goal.

BCE Consulting: Feature at SA’s Automotive Week

South Africa’s automotive manufacturing supply chain and foreign buyers from 20 countries gathered at the South African Automotive Week in Midrand during October. 

BCE was part of the show and welcomed guests to their stand. “The automotive week is the ideal opportunity to showcase South African products and services as a world class manufacturing industry.” said Craig Verwey, chief operational officer of BCE.

He added “We welcome the opportunity to interact with our customers and industry stakeholders, it is a productive platform that allows for constructive debate and discussions relating to the future of our industry”.
